What is the new, newest and best thing in my life right now?

A pneumatic staple gun!

Now I can reupholster out of my basement. It is slow going so far, but I have had a few jobs, and all is going well. Upholstery was not an option when I was in college, so I have been apprenticing at Anne March Studio, after taking a class at the community college. I am currently looking for an industrial sewing machine with a walking foot. If you have a lead on one, please let me know.

I suppose what I like best is transforming furniture into something entirely new, that is somehow familiar. I definitely like working on older pieces, as they have more style and character. So far I have a small gallery of furniture that I have turned around and am happy with the results. Eventually, I will post the pictures, but I just wanted to mention that this is indeed what I have been up to lately.
